MEI makes the following warranties with respect to its refrigerators for the following periods from date of invoice, assuming normal use and reasonable care:

General Warranty:
All parts shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year.

Special Warranties:
The following components shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for the following periods:
Swing type doors: Two years
Compressor Motor (up to and including suction and discharge valves only): Five years pro-rated
Insulating Glass: free of condensation between lites of glass: Ten Years

Liability:
MEI's liability under these warranties shall be limited to the repair or replacement (at its option) of any part which, in its sole judgment, is determined to be defective. All shipping charges shall be paid by the customer and neither repair nor replacement shall serve to renew or extend the original warranty period. In addition, if the defect appears within 90 days from date of invoice, MEI will reimburse the reasonable cost of on-site labor involved in the repair or replacement, provided authorization is obtained from MEI before such labor is incurred.

THESE WARRANTIES ARE MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE and in lieu of any other obligation or liability, including liability for consequential damages such as product spoilage or lost business. No representative of MEI may enlarge or alter these warranties in any respect. These warranties may not be assigned and they apply only in favor of the original purchaser or lessee.

If a defect occurs, immediately contact MEI for instructions. Do not return any part or incur any charge for which you expect to be reimbursed under this warranty without prior authorization from MEI. MEI is not responsible for any delays in repair or replacement which is due to causes beyond its control.
